Changing replication factor for HDFS?

Hi,

When I change the rep factor for HDFS using Cloudera Manager Free edition,
under the HDFS service configuration, which underlying XML file does that
actually get updated in?

For example, I changed it to 1 for my test cluster and fully restarted the
cluster. But in the /etc/hadoop/conf/hdfs-site.xml file, the rep factor
still shows up as 3.

I'm guessing the change from Cloudera Manager is happening in a different
file??
