Upgraded to 3.7.7, now trying to upgrade to 4.0.2, but the upgrade wizard won't update the repository

Basically, it looks like the the repository won't update because the date
of the 4.0.x repository is earlier than the 3.7.x repository. Any ways to
easily work around this without having to login to each host separately?
