FAQ
You'll really need to provide more info on the issue you're seeing: what
version of QlikView? Windows version? CDH version? Are you trying to
connect to Impala or Hive? And what error message are you seeing?

There are still several possible issues here. First thing to check is to
make sure that your Windows client can contact the Impala host – can you
ping the server hosting the impalad from the Windows client? Also make sure
there are no firewalls, etc. blocking external access to the Impala host.

Principal is only required if you're running against a secured cluster.
Type should be set to "HS2NoSASL". Please refer to the documentation for
complete info on configuring the driver –
    http://www.cloudera.com/content/cloudera-content/cloudera-docs/Connectors/Cloudera-Connector-for-Qlikview/ccqv_windows.html

    Hi,

I am able to contact the Impala host from my Windows client. There is no
issue of Firewall here as we are able to connect Qlikview to others.
When we give the connect in Qlikview, we entered the details except for
type and principal. could that be a reason?

    Regards,

    Nancy
