At the latest github commits of 1.1, start-impala-cluster.py doesn't work.

./bin/start-impala-cluster.py
Traceback (most recent call last):
   File "./bin/start-impala-cluster.py", line 23, in <module>
     from tests.common.impala_cluster import ImpalaCluster
ImportError: No module named tests.common.impala_cluster

    Any progress on this issue?
    Does v1.1.1 have the patch to overtake this limitation?

    Yes, v1.1.1 release should resolve this issue. Try the code from:

    https://github.com/cloudera/impala/tree/v1.1_branch
