Which version of Impala are you running?

I had Impala working fine, but now it's crashing whenever I try to run the
same query that previously worked. The end of the log file has this error:

linux-amd64 compressed oops)
# Problematic frame:

The only thing I've changed was adding some files to HDFS. Running the same
query still works fine in Hive. I can also still do a select count(*) in
Impala, and it's reading the same number of files in that directory that
Hive is. What would be causing this problem?

    Hi Henry -

I'm running CentOS 5.8. I did install Impala from packages, according to
    the instructions found
    here: http://www.cloudera.com/content/cloudera-content/cloudera-docs/Impala/latest/Installing-and-Using-Impala/ciiu_noncm_installation.html

This is the query that fails:
select count(*) from table1 li left outer join table2 lp on li.foo3 =
    lp.foo3 where lp.foo3 is null or li.foo4 = 1 and li.foo5='XXXXX';

    The tables are SequenceFiles.

The tables' schemas are as follows:

    Table 1:

    foo3 bigint

    Hi Maria -

    A few more questions:

    * What operating system are you running?
    * Did you install Impala from packages?
    * What's the query that fails?
    * What is the table's schema and file format?

    Thanks -

    Henry
