FAQ
Hi Saurabh,

It sounds like somehow the table is missing from Impala's metadata. Can you
try doing a "refresh" from the impala shell?

The impalad provided in the hue configuration will act as the coordinator
node. However, all impalad will participate in query execution.

Thanks,
Alan

Hi,

I am running impala query from Hue. I am able to run query with small data
using both hive and impala.

When I increased the size of the table from 1MB to 100MB. Hive query ran
fine but when I ran Impala query, it throws the exception -

"Your query has the following error(s): AnalysisException: Unknown table"

What could be the problem?

Also, I am providing one of the Impala daemon server names in hue
configuration. In this case, will it use only one impala node to execute
the query or will it run in parallel?

Thanks,
Saurabh.

    In addition to Alan's comment:

The refresh catalog for the Impala App comes in Hue 2.3 released last
    month: https://issues.cloudera.org/browse/HUE-1100

    Hi Alan,

Thanks. refreshing from impala shell works.

We configure one impalad server in hue configuration. What happen if that impalad is down. Is there any load balancing configuration in Hue?

    Regards,
    Saurabh.
