FAQ
There is no plugin used in Yarn as Yarn come with API:
http://hadoop.apache.org/docs/current2/hadoop-yarn/hadoop-yarn-site/MapredAppMasterRest.html
Some logs are still grabbed from the Web UI.

You can look at how it is implemented in Hue (JobBrowser/ works with MR2,
there is a new yarn lib): https://github.com/cloudera/hue

Attached stuff looks more like the Hive logs than you can get from
HiveServer2 and see from the Hive Editor in Hue.

Hi All,

For Hadoop version 1, there are job tracker and task trackers. Hue is
using a plugin on the JobTracker to access the MapReduce logs. However for
Hadoop version 2 (YARN), there is no job tracker concept. Is there any
plugin that we could pull the MapReduce logs?

I tried to check the log at history server, I couldn't find the MapReduce
log (as attached). Previously I am able to pull MapReduce log (as attached)
using Hue plugin.

Can anyone help me on this? How hue pull MapReduce log for hadoop version
2 (YARN)? Thanks.

Regards,
CYea
