    Another problem with dkms kmods is the development requirements, which
    can be troublesome in some deployments. That reminds me to update the
    dkms module install dependencies to include the development
    environment.

    It might be possible to have a dkms kmod though alongside a kabi
    tracking kmod, dkms will supercede the kabi module, and put it back
    when/if the dkms module is removed.

    I would also expect it to be so. I only mentioned EPEL in the sense
    that there is a spec and src that is known to work...

    I see the dkms option in iet spec, and will add that as another test element.
