Ashutosh Chauhan updated PIG-283:
---------------------------------
Attachment: pig-282.patch
Patch as suggested in previous comment. This will let user to add / override key value pairs in job conf through grunt or through script. Like
{code}
grunt> set mapred.map.tasks.speculative.execution false
grunt> set pig.logfile mylogfile.log
grunt> set my.arbitrary.key my.arbitary.value
{code}
Allow to set arbitrary jobconf key-value pairs inside pig program

It would be useful to be able to set arbitrary JobConf key-value pairs inside a pig program (e.g. in front of a COGROUP statement).
I wonder whether the simplest way to add this feature is by expanding the 'set' command functionality.
