This bug has been fixed in CVS.

If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on
pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET).

If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should
be live shortly.

Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release.

Thank you for the report and for helping us make PEAR better.

Description:
------------
Using combination of VALIDATE_NAME.VALIDATE_ANY_OTHER_FORMAT cause
string validation to fail. This occurs because VALIDATE_NAME format ends
with a dash (-) character which cause an undesired regexp pattern (like
'-any_char) when it is concatenated with another format.

Test script:
---------------
Validate::string("PEAR 1234", array("format" =>
VALIDATE_NAME.VALIDATE_NUM));

Expected result:
----------------
This code should return TRUE

Actual result:
--------------
This code returns FALSE.
