FAQ

If you have a Perl application you need Perl installed, a Java app Java
installed and so on. Why not go?
Because go does not run in a interpreter neither in a VM. It's like
requiring everyone to have a C compiler to be able to run any C written app
:)

Being able to build once and run everywhere is the reason behind the
statically linked binary.
