Some other discoveries:

With a book open, you can get to the menu by swiping right until you hear
the progress information in the footer, then double-tapping. This restores
the menu.

Also, two-finger swiping left and right moves from page to page.

Long-pressing on a book title in the book list will bring up a menu of
options where you can add the book to a collection, go to various parts of
the book, including furthest read and remove the book from your device.

A Capella doesn't appear to work with continuous reading, or at least, for
me it used the Google TTS US voice for the text, though A Capella read the
