FAQ
Hmmm, work fine for me...

SQL> define _editor=C:\Vim\vim62\gvim.exe
SQL> select 'AAA' from dual;

'AA

---
AAA

SQL> ed
Wrote file afiedt.buf

1* select 'BBB' from dual
SQL> /

'BB
---
BBB

SQL>

This was tested in both sqlplus and sqlplusw, Release 10.1.0.2.0 (Oracle
Client installed on Windows XP Professional).

Can you post more details about the client that you are using? Any
details about the test?

GBA,

1) Install gvim for windows.
Done.
2) Then in sql*plus:
define _editor=
3) You can put the command from 2) in the glogin.sql file
(%ORACLE_HOME%\sqlplus\admin\glogin.sql), so you do not have to write this
every time you start sql*plus.
Done.
The only problem i have is when i finish a query i type :wq to get
back to sql*plus
if I do press / an then ENTER, sql*plus executes the first query i had
in memory, not the one i modified. I have to type get afiedt.buf and
then / + ENTER to execute
the modified query. How can i do to make it work just like with
notepad??
