ssh vcap@{ip_of_microbosh} -i {private_key}
sudo su - (password if asked is c1oudc0w)
monit restart director

If it does not solve your problems.
tail -f /var/vcap/sys/log/*/*.log
keep the above command running and run 'bosh releases' again.
This might give you some clues on what goes wrong.
