FAQ
I stopped all processes by doing.

    1. /etc/init.d/cloudera-scm-agent stop (successful)
    2. /etc/init.d/cloudera-scm-server stop (was never started successfully
    to begin with)
    3. /etc/init.d/cloudera-scm-server-db stop (could not shutdown, so I did
kill -9 on the process id)

The cleaned up left over pid's
rm /var/lib/cloudera-scm-server-db/data/postmaster.pid

Then rebooted my cluster.
restarted all services, /etc/init.d/cloudera-scm-server start still fails
to come up w/ same errors.
psql: FATAL: the database system is shutting down

Anything else to try ? Not sure what's going on here.

Trying to start cloudera server but fails with postgres errors.

# /etc/init.d/cloudera-scm-
server start
Starting cloudera-scm-server: [ OK ]

Then shortly after status indicates server dead.

# /etc/init.d/cloudera-scm-server status
cloudera-scm-server dead but pid file exists

cloudera-scm-server.log reveals: Any ideas or help ?

Running psql from command line also reveals fatal message:

Any idea why postgres would suddenly have issues ? I have not even touched
anything lately.
Thanks. Julio.
