If you are looking for how to pass through AD users to Kerberos, see this

Rohit, the link you are asking for is in the email you quoted:

This shows you how to configure CM to use an AD backend. See
specifically the section "Configure User Authentication Using Active
Directory"

Hi Philip
Thanks for your response.
As mentioned earlier I have implemented Kerberos on my cluster and I
could
not find any Kerberos explanation( I mean changes to be done in the
Kerberos config files- How to configure AD realm and so on ).
It would be great if you could direct us to a link which has an
explanation of using AD with Cloudera Manager Enterprise edition 4.5.

Hi Gauarav and Rohit,

Have you seen
http://www.cloudera.com/content/cloudera-content/cloudera-docs/CM4Ent/4.5.1/Cloudera-Manager-Enterprise-Edition-User-Guide/cmeeug_topic_13_9.html?scroll=cmeeug_topic_13_9
,
the section titled "Configuring External Authentication" in the User Guide?
Using those settings, you'll be able to let users login to CM with their
LDAP credentials. There are also instructions for setting up Hadoop to
speak Kerberos.

Please note that this stuff is enabled in the Enterprise Edition.

Also looping "scm-users". The problem is that we are unable to find a
proper document which will explain the steps configuring CM for
reflecting
users from AD. Actually, we want the AD users to go through Kerberos
authentication for accessing CDH4. The Hadoop cluster is the cluster
of
linux boxes. But there is a windows box which acts as the gateway for
normal users who will be accessing Hadoop.

Please provide suggestions on how to do the setup and also give some
valuable links.

PS: Kerberos is installed on linux cluster and CM is configured to use
Kerberos authentication.

Thanks,
Gaurav

I have configured Kerberos on top of Cloudera Manager 4.5.
Now I need to synchronize CM with Active Directory.
