What is the best way to edit a role and have the changes apply to all
relevant objects? Example:
I found I have a disorganized set of TasKTracker roles. I need to
consolidate into 2 or 3. I go to
Services->mapreduce1->Configuration->Role Groups->TaskTracker(Base)->
at this point I click on the first column (Name) = tasktracker(zip16).
then Configuration tab. At this point I can start to edit all the
available parameters
Q:Is this editing the role TaskTracker(Base) or the individual parameters
for the TaskTracker on that specific DD?
Q:or is it editing the role and when I save all the changes will be
applied to all
the DDs that use that role?
