Has anyone made any progress with this issue?

This is some kind of thrift error between the hive server 2 client to the
metastore server. Is there any thing in the metastore logs? Are you using
any form of security (kerberos)? What operation system are you on?

The little googling I've done leads me to believe that restarting the hive
metastore and hive server 2 might fix things.

Including hue-user@ for future reference!

Hello,

After upgrading to CDH5b2, we noticed some issues with Hue with Hive. Hue
works fine when I query using Impala, but has trouble loading
databases/tables for hive. The database and tables don't show up in hue UI.

The error from Hive2 server logs is:

Got exception: org.apache.thrift.TApplicationException get_databases
failed: out of sequence response

Any idea what could be going on here ? Anyone seen this before ?
