According to http://www.rabbitmq.com/maxlength.html,
"Messages will be dropped or dead-lettered from the front of the queue to
make room for new messages once the limit is reached."

Is there a way to drop/reject the new messages instead of dropping the old
messages on the queue?

Thx!

Tom

So that also means it's impossible to unbind a queue from an exchange when
the queue is full, isn't it?

    Thanks a lot!

Queue contents and bindings are not related. You can bind/unbind queues
with messages, or bind/unbind empty queues as well.

If you want to drop new messages, then use a per-queue-TTL = 0, see:
    https://www.rabbitmq.com/blog/2014/01/23/preventing-unbounded-buffers-with-rabbitmq/#noqueueingatall

    Cheers,
