FAQ
Hello,

I would like to request maintainership permissions for Proc::Daemon CPAN module.

The security problem was reported and patch was proposed about a year
ago (https://rt.cpan.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=91450), since then
the patch was applied in many downstreams (e.g.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1043872). However, the
patch introduced a small regression, the fix was proposed by me in the
same RT ticket. I also created the repo on GitHub with these changes:
https://github.com/akreal/Proc-Daemon.

I contacted current maintainer Detlef Pilzecker (in CC), who replied
with approvement of mainternership transfer and set of other
improvements' ideas to consider for release. Detlef Pilzecker asked me
to contact primary-maintainer Earl Hood (also in CC) for
maintainership permissions, what I have done but got no answer so far.

My PAUSE ID is AKREAL.

Thank you,
Pavel Denisov

If I did things right, you should have maintainer permissions now.

Confirmed, I see them on my PAUSE page.
    Thank you very much!
