Hi Wright,

RabbitMQ usually takes a long time to shutdown if it has a lot of
durable queues and a lot of persistent messages.

If you haven't already, you should upgrade to 2.7.1. The changes in
2.7.0 make file operations faster and RabbitMQ shuts down a lot faster.

Other than upgrading and using fewer durable queues, there's not much
you can do about the slow shutdown.

Cheers,
Alex

Hi, all

Generally, it takes only seconds to stop MQ by using ?service rabbitmq-server stop?. But, some time, the stopping process would be clocked or returned after several minutes. Could anybody tell me the possible reasons to cause this problem? I appreciate it a lot.

Thanks,

Wright
